Prioritizing and Nurturing African American mothers is our goal
African American women have the highest maternal mortality rate in the United States. Our pregnancy support services are effectively improving these rates.
⦁ Since our program’s inception, there have been zero maternal deaths among program participants.
⦁ In Sacramento County, African American infants die at twice the rate of all other races combined.
⦁ For the last 3 consecutive years, there have been zero infant deaths among babies born in our program.

We strive to narrow the health disparity gap in Sacramento County by providing relevant culturally responsive services. Within Her Health First, we foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous learning to fulfill our agency’s mission while amplifying the voices and aspirations of those we assist.
