We support African American women through honoring and embracing the miracle of birth.

A community of focus is one of growth.

Since 1988 it’s been our mission to lower the African American infant mortality rate. HHF has consistently achieved its goal of providing access to mental health and well-being services to support African American women. As a support system, we tackle the most demanding challenges pregnant African American women face head-on.

Prioritizing and nurturing African American mothers is our goal.

African American women are contributing to the U.S. maternal mortality rate 3 times higher than other races. Our mental health, prevention, and educational resources effectively improve that.

BMU was very resourceful. I love Mommy Mingles because you get to communicate with other mothers and not feel alone. It feels like a safe place where no one judges you.

Black Mothers United helped me deliver a healthy baby. Ms. Toni set me up to successfully raise my child and know how to advocate for both of our needs.

Inayah Jackson

Black Mothers United gave my daughter the tools she needed to be an empowered Black Mother. When this young woman needed the village, they answered and exceeded the call!
